Early Babbitt Otto Link 9 all original near mint with clamshell baffle and all.  This is a nice playing loud and projecting original piece. It is NOT a straight signature FLorida, but a true EB.
A great majority of EB Links have been sent out by people to have them refaced and dissatisfied with the result often attempt to sell them as “original”.  That has created a situation where some buyers without experience are dissatisfied when original do not play as they expect them to since all they have ever played are refaced that they thought were original.

The Original facings used on the EB pieces were specific and produce a specific response such as this one.  They are designed to produce a certain kind of resistance that improves the aggressiveness of the reed vibration and therefore brightness or power.  This is a near perfect original, ready to play loud and/or smoky.
