This is the best model period for the balance of rich vintage tone, beautiful craftsmanship and excellent ergonomics.  The serial number is 322xxx coming from around 1952.  As you can see it has the full set of pearls and original finish.  It is a horn that has been played which is evidence of greatness.  I’ve found these models of Kings to be extremely reliable and consistent in quality.  I do not hesitate to say that unlike Selmers for example, I have never played a King of this period that was not highly enjoyable did not feel like it should.

This one has had some normal dings and minor dents in its lifetime but is in nice physical condition having lived a bit.  It does need to be serviced as the pads are old and it has been sitting for some years most likely.  The photos show the situation clearly.  It is hard to miss with this model in this condition, excellent and beautiful vintage Kings…
